The Moto 360 (2nd Gen.) set to be unveiled on September 8

The second-generation Moto 360 from Motorola wasn't the best-kept secret to date, but it also wasn't the worst, either. We'd seen it out in the wild already, and Motorola even managed to leak a render of the wearable even before they officially announced it. But, an announcement is right around the corner.

Lenovo, which is now the parent company of Motorola, has posted a teaser image that very clearly indicates the newest Moto 360 on its front, and with a date below that: September 8, 2015. The image was published to the official page for Lenovo on Sina Weibo, and includes the tagline: "It's time."

There's only one new Moto 360 displayed in the teaser image, but there are rumors that Motorola has plans to introduce at least two Moto 360 variants, each of which with different screen sizes. On top of that, a recent leak showcased the Moto 360 Sport, a wearable with a rubberized band that could launch later this year.

Amazon Instant Video adds offline playback to its Android app for Prime members

Amazon knows how to sell a product, especially when it comes to their own, and a Prime subscription is certainly no different. Prime subscribers already have tons of extra goodies they can look forward to versus the regular shopper that peruses Amazon's digital store shelves, like free two-day shipping and a plethora of movies and TV shows to choose from with Instant Video.

Now Amazon is adding yet another feature to sweeten the Prime subscriber deal. Amazon officially announced on September 1st that Android users (and iOS users) that are Prime subscribers can now save Instant Video content to their device for offline viewing. Right now, this ability is only available in a few locations, including the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, and Austria. Thankfully, for those that have access to this feature, it offers offline playback for both movies and TV shows.

Android users will have to do a bit of work to get the Amazon Instant Video app, as Amazon still blocks it away within its own Appstore app. To download the Appstore you'll need to sideload it, because it's not available in the Play Store. Once that's done, then you'll be able to download the Instant Video app from there. (If you have an Amazon Fire Phone or Amazon tablet, you already have both apps readily available.) You can find full instructions on how to download the Amazon Instant Video app for Android right here.

Now that the Instant Video app has downloads for offline playback, does this make the app the perfect video player for you?

Is Motorola Working On A Shatterproof Moto?

Moto Bounce

When it comes to high end durable device there aren't a ton of options.  Samsung's Active series probably offers the best combination of style, durability and processing power but if a new leak is to be believed, Samsung may have some new competition.

The increasingly active leakster @upleaks has Tweeted out a new device called the Motorola Bounce and as the name suggests, this phone is built to… well… handle a bounce or two.  According to the leakster, the device will be shatterproof.  While he doesn't quite specify what on the phone is shatterproof you kind of assume he's talking about the screen.  And if you look closely at the picture it appears that the frame has some cushion to it as well which should help absorb some of that impact in case of a drop or fall.

In terms of internal specs, the device is said to sport a 5.43″ QHD display, Snapdragon 810 processor, 32GB or 64GB of internal storage, 3GB of RAM, 21MP camera, 5MP front facing camera and a 3760 mAh battery.  @upleaks claims that it will be available in December so it may be a little while before we hear anything official from Motorola.

A Third Moto 360 Emerges?!?

Moto 360 - 3

Although Motorola still hasn't said anything, we know that there will be two variants of the Moto 360 this year: the Moto 360L and Moto 360S.  Well if those two models don't float your boat it then perhaps this third model will.  Yup, you read that right.  According to a recent Tweet by @upleaks, there will be a third Moto 360 to hit the market, the Moto 360 Sport.

As the name implies, the Moto 360 Sport is much… well sportier.  Rather than metal or leather, the band appears to be made of some sort of rubber-ish material.  All in all, it looks much more fitness band like than classy smart watch.  Unfortunately @upleaks wasn't able to provide any other details regarding specs but chances are it will vary at least a little bit from the other models.

What do you guys think of this third Moto 360?
