More premium Samsung Alpha series devices in the works

Samsung's Galaxy Alpha represents a new direction in smartphones Samsung was previously unwilling to take for the most part. Instead of focusing on shoving every premium feature available into a cheap, plastic body, Samsung showed some restraint with the Alpha and threw some aluminum into the mix, creating a relatively high-end device with the build quality to match. And thankfully, it won't be the last.

The Galaxy Alpha was the beginning of a new chapter for Samsung. According to SamMobile, Samsung has at least three more "A series" devices in the works. Going by the model numbers SM-A300, SM-A500 and SM-A700, the new Galaxy A phones will feature a variety of specs and come in at different price points, but all feature a similar focus on build materials and quality.

The A300 is slated to land with a qHD display, while the A500 and A700 will feature HD displays. All three devices will feature enhanced front-facing cameras, something that will set the A series apart from other Samsung devices.

SamMobile doesn't think we'll see any of the new A series device at IFA, but they will make an appearance before the end of the year.
