Lenovo has launched its new 8 inch Android tablet, the TAB S8, at the 2014 IFA Consumer Electronics Unlimited show in Berlin. The new device, which is priced at under $200, looks sleek and stylish. It has slim bezels and a One Glass Solution 1920 x 1200 display which helps the screen seamlessly merge with the front panel. The slim design isn't only in appearances as the device is just 7.8 thick, making it just a fraction of a millimeter thicker than the iPad mini.

At the core of the TAB S8 is a quad-core Intel Atom Z3745 processor making it Lenovo's first 8-inch Android tablet powered by Intel. The Z3745 is a 64-bit processor from Intel's Bay Trail series. This means that the tablet offers "64-bit compatibility" however there is no official word from Lenovo about future upgrades to a 64-bit version of Android L. At the moment the tablet runs Android 4.4 KitKat.
