We've already seen Nexus 6 phones on carriers like T-Mobile and Verizon get Android 5.1.1, and now Nexus 6s on Google's own operator will get the update too.
Google has announced that all Project Fi phones — which are currently all Nexus 6s — will receive Android 5.1.1 "over the next few days." It's worth noting that this update is only for phones that were bought specifically for Fi, so if you already had an N6 and then joined Fi, you may already be on 5.1.1.
Good news! Android 5.1.1 – an even sweeter version of Android Lollipop – is coming to all Project Fi phones over the next few days.

Android 5.1.1 is a small-ish update focused on squashing bugs and improving stability, but an Android OS update is an Android OS update, and we're sure that N6 owners on Project Fi are excited to finally be jumping to the latest publicly available version of Android.
