Earlier this year, ZTE launched the Spro 2 on AT&T, giving Big Blue customers the chance to pick up a mobile hotspot/projector combo device that runs Android 4.4. Now Verizon customers will get access to the unique device too.
The ZTE Spro 2 is launching with support for Verizon's 4G LTE network. Pricing is set at $599 without a contract or $499 with a two-year commitment, and in exchange for all of those dollars, you'll get a hotspot/projector combo that's largely similar to the AT&T model that launched earlier this year. That means that it's got the following specs:
- 5-inch 1280×720 touchscreen
- Quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor
- 2GB of RAM
- 16GB of storage
- microSD slot
- 4G LTE connectivity
- Mobile hotspot with support for up to 10 device connections
- Projector that can output images up to 120 inches
- 6300mAh battery
- USB 3.0
- HDMI
- Android 4.4 with full Google Play access
It's not every day that we see a device that's a combination mobile hotspot and projector, but that's exactly what we're getting with the ZTE Spro 2. And for people that could use just such a device, like traveling businesspeople, this combo product could be a good option for lightening a travel load. Plus, it comes with full Google Play access, which is a nice touch.
