As Blackberry dipped their toes into the Android pool they sought to distinguish themselves from the pack by promising increased security and privacy on their device, the Priv. Well it looks like they're staying true to their word as their January security update is ready to go!
I imagine that this security update will patch up the same issues that Google's recently released update patched up. That means some pretty severe issues will no longer be a problem thanks to the quick and speedy work of both Google and Blackberry.
As always, if you haven't received the update yet, be sure to jump into your setting and do a manual check. While I'm still not completely sold on Blackberry's take on Android, I at least appreciate that they're staying on top of these security issues.
