Motorola Moto E3 now official with a 5-inch HD display, 8MP camera, and more

So far in 2016, the Lenovo-owned Motorola has unveiled not only two new  Moto Z-branded devices, but also new handsets in the Moto G family. And now for folks who have been waiting for a new Moto E, the wait is over.

The Moto E3 is now official. The device features a bigger 5-inch 720p HD display this time around, up from the 4.5-inch screen of the Moto E (2nd Gen.). Motorola has confirmed that there's a quad-core processor under the hood, and the battery is measured in at 2800mAh  which Motorola says will last a user all day. Around the back there's an 8-megapixel camera, and there's a 5-megapixel front-facing camera on the other side.

Motorola didn't say how much built-in storage is available, but there is a microSD card slot to expand the storage.

The Moto E3 will be available in "early September" in the U.K. and it will retail for £99 (about $132) from select retailers including Amazon, Argos, and Tesco. Motorola's not opening up about an international launch, but considering the importance of the company's low-end handset, it seems inevitable.

What do you think of the Moto E3?
