HTC One (M9) compared to One (M7), One (M8) in hands on video

htc_one_m9_hands_on_leak_022815

This is definitely not what HTC wanted to happen the day before its MWC 2015 event. A press member with early access to the device posted a hands on video with the One (M9) being compared to its predecessors. The video does not show or reveal anything we have not heard already; therefore, all it is really good for is seeing the One (M9) in a few more angles.

How to use your Android to prepare for severe weather

Severe weather takes many forms.

Blizzards, hurricanes, tornadoes, even haboobs can turn a regular day into a disaster, and if you're not prepared, it can turn from disastrous to downright dangerous. While you're stocking up the liquor cabinet, boarding up the windows, and collecting the games/movies from around the house to keep any little ones happy and distracted, don't forget to prepare your phone for the rough road to come. There's a lot more to preparing your phone for severe weather than just charging it up.

Be prepared.

Huawei Watch appears in two official videos on eve of announcement

huawei_logo_smartwatch

Tomorrow, Huawei will be one of the companies holding a press event at MWC 2015. Among the expected devices is the Huawei Watch that already exposed itself in Barcelona. Now, two promotional videos were posted on the company's official YouTube account. The first video shows a man exploring a frigid and snowy environment with his Huawei Watch being a guide. The other involves Huawei employees providing insight to the Watch's design. Both do highlight the elegance and technological prowess expected from the Huawei Watch.

Huawei Watch and its stainless steel body shown off in official promo videos

Huawei's no stranger to the wearables market, having launched the TalkBand B1 in 2014, but the company will be making its first step into the world of Android Wear in the near future.

The official Huawei Device channel on YouTube has posted two promo videos for a device called the "Huawei Watch." The device runs Android Wear and has a sapphire glass front, a 42mm watch surface, stainless steel unibody case, and support for swappable bands. Huawei says that it'll offer straps made of different materials and designs for both men and women.

In a video that focuses on the design of the Huawei Watch, Huawei says that it wanted to create a "timeless design" for its smartwatch. And since most classic watches have round faces, Huawei chose a round face for its Watch.

We don't yet know many of the Huawei Watch's specs or availability details, but I expect those to be revealed in the coming days at MWC 2015. Looking at its design, the Huawei Watch looks like a nicely-designed Android Wear device that could be worth a look for folks that want a smartwatch that doesn't look like a smartwatch.

Based on what we know of it so far, what do you think of Huawei's first Android Wear device?

HTC One M9 hands-on video hits YouTube before tomorrow’s unveiling

HTC will pull back the curtain to unveil the HTC One M9 in less than 24 hours, but that doesn't mean you need to wait 'till then to see the first hands-on video of HTC's flagship smartphone. A reporter who received early access to the device mistakenly published a video to YouTube, giving us a good look at the build of the phone and comparing it to the HTC One phones from the past two years.

While the One M9 doesn't appear to hold any more secrets, we're hoping that HTC does have a few tricks up its sleeve to show off at tomorrow's big press event.
