Sling TV announces a new interface for Android users to improve navigation and content discovery

I have watched Sling TV steadily grow in both popularity and size in the time since its birth. The channel count is now quite ridiculous (in a good way), but with that comes the need for easy navigation and new content discovery. Luckily, Sling has that covered with the new update rolling out soon to Android users (with additional platforms coming soon).

The first element is the Grid Guide, which feels very traditional and should be comfortable to most users who have spent any tim e with cable or satellite television in the last few years.

Gboard v6.3 beta is rolling out with improved search interface, search emoji by drawing, and more [APK Download]

There's a new version of Gboard hitting devices tonight, right after Google accidentally sent an internal v6.3 "dogfood" test build out to some users. Oh well, the version that's rolling out in the Play Store right now (also v6.3) is the proper consumer build, and it has some cool new stuff. Searching is now quicker and more powerful, whether you're looking for a webpage, emoji, or a GIF.

The app is just beginning its slow roll, so we're not certain what all the new things are.

OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T Confirmed to Be Getting Android O Update

Not so long ago, Google detailed some of the upcoming features we can expect to see Android O arrive with. The new Android version is scheduled to go public sometimes at the end of summer and will initially be offered on Google's Pixel and Nexus devices.

What other phones will be getting the update? According to a new Tweet posted by OnePlus CEO, Pete Lau the OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T will be getting the O. So if you were worried your phone wouldn't be receiving the update, now you have the confirmation that it will.

In a few weeks, OnePlus is expected to launch its latest flagship the OnePlus 5. The phone will probably ship out with Android 7.0 Nougat (or 7.1) out of the box, so it will be first in line to get the Android O update. Then the OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T will follow.

The OnePlus 5 should arrive with a 5.5-inch display with fullHD resolution (or QHD in the best case scenario) and a brand new Snapdragon 835 processor under the hood. We're probably see 6GB and 8GB variants, with either 64GB or 128GB of internal storage onboard.

We already know the phone will keep the 3.5 mm headphone jack and that the Chinese company has partnered up with DxOMark for an advanced camera.

Unlocked BlackBerry KEYone to Arrive in Canada in June for $729

If you are in Canada and are a fan of BlackBerry, then you're probably going to be super happy to know that the company's latest handset, the KEYone is now available for purchase in the country.

The phone is available for pickup at Rogers, Bell, Bell MTS, SaskTel and Telus for $0 down on contract to $699.99 CAD no-term.

But if you don't want to do business with a carrier for some reason, keep in mind the unlocked version will be made available. In June, customers will be able to pick it up for $729 CAD.

In case you don't remember the BlackBerry KEYone comes with a 4.5-inch display with 1620 x 1080 resolution and 434ppi. It's a mid-range handset so don't expect a Snapdragon 835 or anything like that. Instead it's fueled by a Snapdragon 625 in combination with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage (microSD card slot available to expand memory up to 2TB).

On the imaging front, the handset features a main 12-megapixel camera and an 8-megapixel self-portrait shooter. It also bundles a 3,505 mAh battery and ships with Android 7.1 Nougat.

Naturally the main selling point of the KEYone is the keyboard which also doubles as a fingerprint scanner.

Are you getting the BlackBerry KEYone?

Motorola teases ‘bold phone’ announcement tomorrow

Motorola's Canadian Twitter has teased an announcement tomorrow. The company says that a "bold phone" will be announced June 1 and has posted an image that doesn't seem to really hint at anything about the device.

While there is no solid info on what's being announced, it might be the next generation of Moto Z devices. Since the tweet teases a single phone, it might be the Moto Z2 Play. The main Z2 devices usually come in pairs so it seems more likely it will be the Play model.

Whatever it is, we'll find out tomorrow. Motorola's been on a roll with quality devices so far so let's hope the next generation is even better.

Sony Xperia XZ Premium coming to US for $799 on June 12

Sony's presence in the US is quite small, and it's not because the company can't compete. Sony has stated that it has "defocused" on the US and other markets, meaning we get the shorter end of the stick.

Despite this, we're still getting some of Sony's flagship devices in the US. The company has just announced the availability of the high-end Xperia XZ Premium, which is coming to the US on June 12 for a wild cost of $799.

The device is no slouch. It features a 5.5-inch 4K display, a Snapdragon 835, 4GB of RAM, 64GB of storage with a microSD slot, a 19MP camera with 960 FPS slow motion capability, a 13MP front camera, a 3,230mAh battery, IP68 water resistance, and Android 7.1.

One thing it doesn't come with is a fingerprint sensor. Sony has not been including them in the US market, so buyers of this $800 flagship won't be getting something now featured on most budget phones. It's a huge shame, but some people may not care.

Expect this phone to launch on June 12 unlocked at retailers like Amazon, Best Buy, and more. Hit the source link for more info and let us know if you're planning to pick one up!

SEGA releases Crazy Taxi Gazillionaire, an idle-tapper meant to coast off of the nostalgia for an 18 year old game

It looks like we now know why the original Crazy Taxi was so recently resurrected as a free app on the Play Store. It was in preparation for today's release of Crazy Taxi Gazillionaire. That is right, there is now a new Crazy Taxi game out on the Play Store. But don't get your hopes up, as this is not a racing game in the slightest. This time around Sega has seen fit to borrow from the original's popularity and release an idle-tapper with a Crazy taxi skin.

Adobe releases Adobe Scan, supports text recognition and works with Document Cloud

There is no shortage of document scanning apps on the Play Store, including Google Drive, Dropbox, and Microsoft Lens. But if you aren't happy with those options, or if you frequently use Adobe Document Cloud, then Adobe's new scanning app might be worth trying out.

Just like other scanning apps, this app uses your phone's back camera and some basic page edge detection to emulate the functionality of a normal document scanner.
