Lenovo Confirms 3,000 mAh Battery in the Moto Z2 Play

We all know that Motorola is gearing up to launch its premium Moto Z2 lineup which will probably include the standard Moto Z2, Moto Z2 Play and Moto Z2 Force.

A bit of controversy was stirred around the Moto Z2 Play which according to recent rumours will be making a debut with a smaller battery than its predecessor, which was known for its lengthy life cycle.

Sadly, it appears leaks are true, as Lenovo has confirmed the tidbit via a Tweet it posted in response to a user comment. A company representative notes the Moto Z2 Play has a non-removable Li-Ion 3,000 mAh batter, which is 200 mAh less than last year's model.

Battery aside the phone should arrive with a 5.5-inch display with fullHD resolution and a Snapdragon 660 processor under the hood. A Chinese TENAA listing revealed 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage onboard, just like the Samsung Galaxy S8.

The phone should also pack a main 12-megapixel camera and a 5-megapixel selfie shooter. While TENAA says the phone will rely on an even smaller 2,820 mAh battery, we now know this won't be the case.

Motorola is expected to take the wraps off the Moto Z2 Play on June 8. Are you excited?
