The long awaited update has finally landed on Canadian shores.
Just two weeks after the initial Lollipop rollout to Nordic and Baltic Xperia Z3's, Sony has officially released the update worldwide to all regions including Canada. The update is Android 5.0.2 which is the latest Android version before 5.1. Besides the Material Design and ART changes you've probably known of since its AOSP release last year, this one comes with a more aggressive fstrim scheduler.
As for Sony specific changes, the update brings a new lock screen and status bar and more importantly, better storage control allowing you to move applications from internal memory to an external SD card.
So far, the update is available to unlocked Canadian Z3 and Z3 Compact models and a few Rogers and WIND models. It's worth mentioning that you will need Sony's PC Companion app to download and install the update as it's too big for an OTA update.
