NVIDIA SHEILD Tablet and SHEILD Portable Android 5.1 Update Coming Soon

For all those who own an NVIDIA Shield Tablet or even the SHIELD Portable, this news is just for you.

NVIDIA posted on their forums indicating the time frame of when the Android 5.1 update will hit the tablet, and while he did not mention a date, it's expected to come out next month. As for the SHIELD Portable, it still has not received Android 5.0, so because of that, the company will instead skip 5.0 and update it directly to Android 5.1.

I'm not sure what exactly caused the delay, but it could just be issues with the NVIDIA Tegra 4, as the Tegra K1 powered Nexus 9 is still stuck on 5.0.1.
