Oppo N1 Mini introduced with 13-megapixel camera, 4G LTE connectivity

Well, that didn't take long. Just days after some leaked images gave us our first look at the Oppo N1 Mini, the shrunken smartphone has been given an official introduction.

Oppo has officially taken the wraps off of the N1 Mini, the smaller version of the original N1 that launched last year. Just as you might expect, the Oppo N1 Mini looks an awful lot like the N1, sporting rounded corners, three capacitive navigation buttons and a swiveling camera.

When it comes to the N1 Mini's hard spec details, we know that it's packing a 13-megapixel camera with f/2.0 aperture and 1/3.2" sensor. The phone also includes 4G LTE connectivity and Oppo's ColorOS 1.4 running atop Android, all wrapped up in a package that weighs 150 grams.

The remainder of the N1 Mini's spec list is still unknown, but it's said that the device is packing a 5-inch display, down from the 5.9-inch screen found in the N1.

I'm sure that there are quite a few folks that don't believe that a 5-inch phone is "mini," but considering how large the 5.9-inch N1 is, the N1 Mini is likely considerably smaller than its full-size sibling. It's not yet clear how widespread the N1 Mini's availability will be, but Oppo's website does mention a June 11 date, so we may hear more about the device and its release schedule then. Stay tuned.
