AirDroid is one of the best tools available for managing your Android device wirelessly from your computer. While the current version is great and full of useful features, the developers have updated the app to include several new tweaks, bringing AirDroid up to version 3.0.
AirDroid now supports full device mirroring, so any notification on your phone will appear on your desktop. If you have a rooted device running Android 4.0 and above, you'll even be able to initiate screen mirroring to quickly respond to those notifications and navigate your phone with a mouse and keyboard. It's a pretty similar approach to Samsung's Side Sync app, so if you've ever used that on a Samsung device, you'll know how it works.
For non-rooted devices, you'll still get full notification mirroring, plus you can answer text messages and calls through the AirDroid desktop client. The file transfer feature is still present for moving things between phone and desktop, and the whole process has been visually tweaked to fall in line with Android's design guidelines. The aesthetics fit right in with most other newer Android apps. As a plus, security has also been improved for AirDroid's encryption process.
Do you use AirDroid for managing your device wirelessly, or is there another app you prefer? Let us know in the comments.
