Chainfire, and subsequently his SuperSU app, is well known in the Android rooting and romming community. Not only does it allow root access, but the app also helps you to manage those apps seeking root permissions. Well, today SuperSU is becoming even more robust in a hefty update that now supports Android 5.0, aka Lollipop, fully.
Version 2.35 not only supports Lollipop but also supports the interface as it's also received bits of Material Design goodness. That said, the interface could be considered icing on the cake as its functionality is more important. Chainfire feels the same way as a fully Material Designed app isn't "a top priority at the moment."
Chainfire did mention that it's been a process to find a viable workaround that circumvents the hurdles Google's placed in SELinux. He also mentions that the app may also have issues with earlier unofficial Lollipop builds.
If you're patient, you can wait for the official build to hit your device from the Play Store. Otherwise you can download it straight from the dedicated download page. Enjoy.
