Magic Software’s 2014 Year in Review

Magic's long list of collective achievements in 2014 is testimony to our dedicated global team, which is determined to enhance our products and solutions so our customers can succeed in today's rapidly changing business and technology environments.

Looking back on 2014 not only helps us prepare for performance reviews, but also provides perspective and gives us energy to build on our successes going forward.

Let's take a look back at some of our key highlights of 2014.

Major Product Enhancements:

In 2014 we made significant enhancements to our enterprise mobility solution.

We released Magic xpa Application Platform 2.5, with new features and enhancements to allow for fast and easy enterprise mobility application creation and improved user experience.

We released the brand-new Magic Mobile Accelerator Framework, which includes a set of pre-built, reusable and customizable components for a wide variety of popular mobile application features, including User Interface and Display, Navigation, Graphs and Charting, Location Services, Synchronization, and Device and Application Auditing. Designed to work together under the same framework, accelerator components enable Magic developers to create attractive, functional mobile applications, faster and with less effort than ever before.

New Mobile Customer Announcements:

Our End-to-End Enterprise Mobility Solutionis gaining traction with announcements of a number of new mobile customers from around the globe.

Boston Medical Center (BMC) implemented new mobile facility and work order management apps using the Magic End-to-End Enterprise Mobility Solution. BMC's new iOS and Android apps increase the efficiency of hospital technicians who repair equipment across the large campus and enable the immediate rerouting of employees to respond critical malfunctions as they happen. The apps also enable hospital staff to initiate and monitor service calls and check on status of incidents at any time. 

Junk Mail, South Africa's leading free classified portal, chose Magic's End-to-End Enterprise Mobility solution as a strategic solution to provide fully integrated multi-channel mobile apps for its existing Sugar CRM application.

French Independent Software Vendor (ISV), Syslife, chose the Magic Enterprise Mobility Solution to develop a tablet version of its flagship Adexio supply chain management software specifically targeted to the retail industry.

New Integration Customer Announcements:

Many new customers around the world are benefiting from our fast, versatile and highly productive integration solution with off-the-shelf connectors to the most popular IT systems. Customers announced this year include:

Sennheiser, one of the world's leading manufacturers of microphones, headphones and wireless transmission systems, chose to implement Magic xpi Integration Platform as a central platform to integrate its new CRM application by SugarCRM with its Oracle JD Edwards EnterpriseOne ERP. In addition, Sennheiser is already planning to use Magic xpi to integrate other IT systems including IBM Enterprise Content Management, CIM Database, Lotus Notes, and MicroStrategy. 

Roka Bioscience, a manufacturer of food safety assays, selected Magic Integration Platform to connect its Oracle JD Edwards EnterpriseOne ERP with its Agile PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) and other third-party systems to increase operational efficiencies and compliance.

Major multinational group Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. implemented Magic xpi Integration Platform to integrate its SAP R/3 system with OTM, a cloud-based business intelligence system, its Automotive Dealer Management System and other enterprise applications. 

Petzl, a leading manufacturer of equipment for sports and work at height, selected Magic xpi Integration Platform to integrate its Salesforce CRM solution with SAP, for business process automation for its international operations.

Awards

This year we were awarded Frost & Sullivan's 2014 Product Innovation Leadership Award for Magic xpi Integration Platform.

Our Magic End-to-End Enterprise Mobility Solution won both DeveloperWeek's 2014 Top Innovator Awardand a 2014 Mobile Village Superstar Award for mobile development.

 

Global Customer Experience Program

As part of our commitment to customer satisfaction, we initiated the Magic Customer and Partner Experience Program which kicked off with a survey to monitor and continually improve all touch points of our customers' Magic experience.

While we were pleased with many of the results, there is always room for improvement. We have identified the top areas for improvement based on feedback from the survey and are currently finalizing and implementing our improvement plan.

New Customer Support Portal

We launched a new Support Platform, which allows customers to better follow the progress made on their cases through an online portal, offering a choice of channels in which customers can open a case (email, phone, and web), and providing notification upon any change in status. The new platform also streamlines internal communication between Magic units to help speed case resolution, and because all customer activities are now being managed on one unified platform, account managers are fully informed of all Support interactions.

We view the implementation of this new system as a solid first step our full improvement plan to enhance your satisfaction with Support Services.

Conclusion

Magic's accomplishments over the last year are a tribute to the passion and dedication of our employees. While we are proud of our accomplishments we are always seeking to improve.

We have lots in store for 2015 and are already hard at work so that we can continue to improve our application development, enterprise mobility and integration solutions and provide you with the best experience at all your different touchpoints with our organization.
