After months of delays, rumors and general frustration among consumers, the Motorola DROID Turbo is finally receiving its update to Android 5.1 Lollipop. After an already long wait for an update to Android 5.0 Lollipop, Motorola and Verizon announced in March that they would skip 5.0 and go directly to 5.1. Most of us assumed that such news indicated that the update would arrive soon after, but we were quite wrong.
DROID Turbo owners are just now receiving their update, but better late than never, right? Most customers are getting a notification telling them that the update is available, but if you're not seeing it then you can head into Settings > About Phone > System Updates and manually check for it yourself.
