Verizon will give you up to $300 for your old phone to buy a new one

Unsurprisingly, Verizon Wireless would like it if you bought a new phone from them, so they're offering up a new trade-in offer to make that happen.

Big Red has officially announced a trade-in promotion offers up to $300 for trading in their old phone. The offer is available to new and existing customers. What's more, customers that plan to buy a DROID Turbo 2 or DROID Maxx 2 can trade in phones with cracked screens, which should open up the possibilities for more customers.

"Trading in your phone is simple. The fastest way to score these savings is by visiting a Verizon store with on-the-spot credit for your trade-in. At Verizon stores, you can receive the immediate value when you trade in your smartphone in good, working condition and apply that value immediately as a down payment toward your new smartphone. Or you can also enjoy a Verizon account credit or gift card."

Verizon does add that the promotion is only available for a limited time, but the carrier doesn't provide an exact date. If you're in the market for a new Verizon phone, acting quickly might be in your best interest.
