There are no shortage of fitness trackers available for iOS users, but Android users have been left with slim pickings since the wearable craze has started to take off. Thankfully one of the most reputable wearable fitness tracker manufacturers has just expanded their Android support to cover a handful of popular devices.
Fitbit, considered by many to be the leader in wearable fitness trackers, now supports some 36 Android devices with wireless synchronization. Devices now officially covered under the Fitbit umbrella include the Galaxy S3, S4 and Note series of devices; Motorola's most recent phones like the Moto X, G and Droid series devices; LG's most recent devices; both HTC One models; 11 Sony Xperia models; and the Nexus 4, 5 and 7 (2013).
In the past users have managed to find ways to make Fitbit work with Android, but nothing beats good old fashioned out-of-the-box support. Wireless sync is one of the biggest perks of owning a Fitbit; it's about time more Android users got to enjoy it. For the full rundown on devices now supported, check out the list below.
