SDK tools for Android preview release and Android Wear now rolling out
As promised during the Google I/O keynote yesterday, Google has released the SDK (software development kit) preview for Android L, along with the final SDK for Android Wear — the latter having been released as a preview some months ago. We're still waiting on the Android L preview factory images for Nexus 5 and 7, also slated to arrive today, but the really important files for developers are already available to download.
To get stuck in, devs can fire up the Android SDK Manager and pull the files in the usual way. Hopefully we won't have too much longer to wait for the factory images for Nexus 5 and 7, which will give is a feel for how the new version of Android runs on real-world hardware.
