Google has been implementing some design upgrades on some of its applications, and Google+ has hardly been shortchanged on some design improving love.
However, Google has sent out another update to the G+ app to add some more Material Design features. As you may recall, Google+ had the Material Design UI long before any of us actually knew what material design is. Obviously, since that time, the UI has been changing, so this update brings Google+ back up with all of Google's other first party apps. These changes are simple design tweaks to make the application look better to the eye, but they are still important nevertheless. The are also some stability improvements included with the app update.
