Google's been on a huge kick today and given that it's update Wednesday, it should come as no surprise. However, with Android 5.0.1 pushing out, a whole slew of Google apps are being updated. One of those apps is Google's Play Games. Version 2.2 doesn't add a whole lot, but does up the ante visually.
First and foremost, the first run experience is updated. What the app does, and what the user's able to do, is what you'll see on first run. Next, you'll see the account picker on devices with only one account active. This was done to make adding multiple accounts easier.
Also, you'll see that your gaming prowess is shown off a bit more. For those who don't want to wait we have the APK download for you. We haven't noticed anything else with the update just yet, but if you have, sound off in the comments below.
