Google introduces “No CAPTCHA reCAPTCHA” to do away with annoying captchas

Solving captchas can be quite annoying when you're in a rush to shop at a website or sign into your account. And for years, Google has heard users complaining about simplifying the experience to distinguish humans from robots. And today, the Mountain View giant has introduced a massive update to its CAPTCHA experience which completely does away with the need to enter a string of random characters. Called the "No CAPTCHA reCAPTCHA", this will allow users to enter a website and solve the captcha with just one click. This doesn't mean that CAPTCHAS are gone completely though, as Google has put proper algorithms in place to ensure that these are still used in some cases when it cannot identify the true nature of the user. If further security threats are detected, the user might be asked to match a series of images to prove that he/she is n0t a robot, which works well on mobile devices.

It's a good feature to have and will clearly change the way people look at captchas going forward. The likes of WordPress, Humble Bundle, Snapchat and several others have already used this new CAPTCHA system on their sites with impressive results. Google has already published the APIs for No CAPTCHA reCAPTCHA. Head over to Google's page below for more information on the new APIs.
