While Samsung's flagship phones have featured 13 megapixel or higher imaging sensors for the past three years, the 12 megapixel sensor of this rumored device does align with reports that Samsung is working on a 12 megapixel mobile imaging sensor with a larger footprint than the one currently used in the Samsung Galaxy S6. The lower megapixel count and larger size would allow the sensor to capture more light, leading to clearer images – particularly in low-light conditions.
With all the rumors surrounding the Samsung's Galaxy S7 lineup, keep track of what rumors and credible and which ones aren't has become quite a chore.
