2016 is off to a good start when it comes to the mobile world. Samsung made the necessary adjustments to put together a stellar phone in the S7 and LG brought something brand new with their modular G5. Well now that some of the killer flagships have been announced it's time to talk about OnePlus' next flagship killer.
OnePlus' CEO Carl Pei recently spoke with CNET and disclosed a few details regarding the 2016 flagship killer. To begin with, Pei stated that the device is expected to be out by the end of the 2nd quarter, aka June. Pei went on to say that the OnePlus 3 will feature a new design that he hopes will "captivate" users! Lastly, Pei says that the company hopes to offer a "better buying process" this time around. Hopefully that means they'll go invite free right from the get go but we'll have to wait and see on that.
Although Pei wouldn't reveal any specs, if the OnePlus 3 is going to be a flagship killer, or even a flagship contender, it'll likely feature a Snapdragon 820 with 4GB of RAM (seems to be the standard this year), possibly a QHD display, and a high quality camera. Hopefully they also pack pretty beefy battery into it. Of course, that's just what I expect to see but to me that's got to be the minimum if they really want to compete.
