Last year Amazon introduced a few new Fire HD tablets, including a 10-inch model. Now, several months later, the company is back with another variant to address a couple complaints.
Amazon has officially launched a brand new "Silver Aluminum" Fire HD 10, which addresses the complaints that the initial tablet was "too plasticky." Other than the change to metal, the Silver Aluminum Fire HD 10 features a 1280×800 10-inch display, with a 1.5GHz quad-core processor, and 1GB of RAM. The tablet also features support for microSD cards that can expand the storage up to 128GB.
There is one other addition: a 64GB model. Previously, the Fire HD 10 only went up to 32GB, so if anyone was looking for a bit of extra built-in storage, it's finally available. What's more, Amazon priced the metal version of the tablet the same as the plastic models, so that means you can get the 16GB Silver Aluminum for $229.99, the 32GB model for $259.99, and the 64GB variant for $289.99.
Would you consider picking up a metal Fire HD 10?
