The Xperia Z5 received its Android 6.0 Marshmallow update way back in March and since then the experience has been bittersweet for some. The reason? Sony removed one of its most well known software feature and battery saving technology called STAMINA mode and replaced it with Google's own solution known as Doze.
While the two technologies are similar, STAMINA mode was and still is a lot more customizable and makes it a selling point for the phone.
However, Sony has just issued a new Android 6.0.1 update for the Xperia Z5 series which not only contains the April security patch but also the power button camera shortcut and finally STAMINA mode. Other changes include better RAM management, general performance improvements, and even double tap to sleep. The build number is 32.2.A.0.224.
