Looks like the days of Google's Nexus lineup have now come to an end as the upcoming Google branded phones will be referred to as Pixel from now on.
Thanks to Android Police, they have received word from not one, but two insiders regarding this news. So what will the HTC-manufactured Sailfish and Marlin phones be called then? Pixel and Pixel XL. It's not clear as to why the branding change occurred but one guess relates into what Sunder Pichai mentioned earlier this year when he wanted to "be more opinionated about the design of the [Nexus] phones".
Now to wait for some more leaks.
