Samsung Galaxy Tab A (2016) with S Pen announced

The S Pen, traditionally a standard accessory for the Galaxy Note smartphone lineup, hasn't been seen in Samsung's tablet line for a while. But there's a new device headed to the market that could signal a change in trends.

Samsung has officially announced the Galaxy Tab A (2016) with S Pen for the South Korean market. As far as specifications go, the new tablet boasts a 10.1-inch tablet with a 1080p HD resolution, a 1.6Ghz octa-core processor under the hood, along with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of built-in storage. There's a microSD card slot for expandable storage, too, as well as an 8MP camera on the back and a 2MP front-facing shooter on the other side. The Galaxy Tab A (2016) also offers Android 6.0 out of the box, its battery is measured in at 7300mAh, and it has 4G LTE connectivity.

The big feature here is support for the S Pen. It will allow Galaxy Tab A (2016) owners to take notes on the display, even when it's off, and translate words.

As far as pricing goes, the Galaxy Tab A (2016) will retail for 489,000 Won (about $434 USD). It will be available initially in South Korea, but there's no word on when it will launch in other markets.
