Yesterday a report came out indicating Samsung might release the Galaxy S 5 in South Korea a little early because of a government ban for the carriers in the region. However, JK Shin says no such deal has been made with SK Telecom.
What's most interesting about this is that supposedly SK Telecom, the regions largest carrier, was ready to announce the early launch. So it's obvious the two parties were working out a deal and March 27 was a target date.
Did Samsung change their mind or did something else happen? We don't know, but for those of you in South Korea, you're going to have a much harder time getting your hands on the GS5 since the ban goes into effect on April 5.
