Samsung hit the reboot button when designing this years flagship devices: the Galaxy S6, Galaxy S6 Edge, Galaxy S6 Edge+ and Galaxy Note 5. Gone were the "cheap" plastic backs and plastic frames, in were luxurious glass backs and beautifully crafted metal frames. The reboot, in my opinion, was successful as Samsung produced some of its best looking phones to date and it appears this design language will stick around for at least another year.
According to a report coming out the Korean Media, Samsung doesn't have any plans to make any major changes to the design of the upcoming Galaxy S7. According to the source, Samsung is feeling the pressure from the growing number of Chinese manufacturers to cut unnecessary costs so that they can price their devices more competitively. Rebooting the design every year, is apparently one of those unnecessary costs.
So what changes should we expect with the next generation of Samsung's? The source states that the S7 will have "improvements both in picture quality, performance and some other new features." In other words, better screen, better cameras, better processors. Current rumours point at a Q1 2016 announcement so more leaks and rumours are undoubtedly going to start flooding the internet.
