One of the things that I often mention in my workshops is the notion of taking advantage of the tools that students already have in their pockets, their phone s. Just a few of the ways that you can have students use their phones includes recording short videos to use as blog posts, capturing highlights of a field trip, or recording an interview with an elder as part of a local history project. Once the video is captured, it can easily be uploaded to a private, public, or unlisted YouTube channel. In the video embedded below I demonstrate how to upload to YouTube from an Android phone.
