Samsung Pay expands to new countries, adds in-app and online purchases

Samsung Pay continues to expand both in availability and features. Samsung has officially announced a few new tricks for its mobile payment service and new regions in which customers can use it.

First up, new countries offering Samsung Pay support. The service is launching in Thailand, Russia, and Malaysia, which means that Samsung Pay will be available in 10 countries. Samsung also confirmed that it's inked a deal with MasterCard to integrate support for Masterpass. That means Samsung Pay now supports online purchases from supported websites that offer Masterpass at checkout. Related information like shipping address, and essential personal information for purchases, are all stored in Samsung Pay, so its secure and quick.

Samsung Pay is also going to support in-app purchases, with an update to the Samsung Pay app. Now users will be able to use the mobile payment option to make a purchase through supported apps, which, at launch, include the likes of Fancy, Raise, Velocity, and others. More app support is on the way, too.
