| Earlier this year, HTC revealed its Android 8.0 update plans, and tomorrow we'll see the first Oreo update from HTC begin rolling out. HTC's Mo Versi has confirmed that the unlocked version of the HTC U11 will begin getting its Android 8.0 Oreo update tomorrow, November 27. Over the air updates typically roll out in stages, so it make take a couple of days for Oreo to hit your unlocked HTC U11. Versi today also reiterated HTC's Oreo update plans, saying that Android 8.0 updates will also be offered for the HTC U11 Life, HTC U Ultra, and HTC 10. Android 8.0 adds several new features, including picture-in-picture and autofill. Also included are notification dots to help you quickly identify which apps want your attention when you're looking at your home screen. If you've got an unlocked HTC U11, watch for your Android 8.0 update starting tomorrow. You can also check for updates manually by going into Settings > About > Software updates > Check now.
