Google is kicking off Google I/O and the first big piece of news has just come out of the gate: HBO Now for Android is coming to Google Play with Google Cast support in tow.

HBO Now is HBO's streaming service that doesn't require any sort of cable subscription, unlike HBO Go. For $15 a month, HBO Now gives users get immediate access to all of HBO's top-tier content like Game of Thrones and the new season of True Detective set to launch soon. Along with Android support, HBO Now will also land Google Cast support for watching content on your Chromecast or other Google Cast supported device.

Specific release details weren't given during the keynote speech where HBO Now for Android was revealed, but they should be available soon. We'll update with more information when it's available.
