Verizon LG G4 goes up for pre-order May 28, in stores June 4

It's about time that Verizon got around to announcing its own LG G4 launch plans. Following on the heels of Sprint's own announcement, T-Mobile opening up online sales, and even U.S. Cellular outlining its own launch plans, Big Red has finally revealed when its subscribers will be able to buy the latest flagship smartphone from the Life's Good crew.

On Wednesday, May 27, Verizon Wireless announced that it will open pre-orders for the LG G4 on May 28. On June 4, Verizon will begin selling the device in its physical retail stores. As far as color options go, Verizon will have an exclusive Ceramic White option, while the Black Leather and Metallic Gray variants will also be available.

With Verizon Edge, the company's monthly installment plan, customers can expect to pay $22.91 per month for 24 months. The Big Red carrier doesn't actually mention in its release how much the phone costs with a new, two-year agreement, but the safe bet is $199.99. As far as contract-free, the G4 retails for $549.99.

On top of that, Verizon has also taken the curtain off a new LG-branded tablet, called the G Pad X8.3. It has an octa-core processor under the hood clocked at 1.5GHz, with an 8MP camera on the back, and a 2MP front-facing camera on the other side. It has 16GB of built-in storage, with a microSD card slot for extra storage if need be. It usually retails for $299.99, Verizon says, but a buyer of a G4 can pick it up for only $49.99.
