Google has been slowly improving the stock clock application ever since it landed in the Play Store. It's not as if it's the most amazing clock app ever made, but it's more than capable at this point, includes plenty of extra features, and integrates well with the rest of Android. The latest update helps the Clock app work better with Android 7.0 and some of its core tools, most notably multi-window.
Google Clock version 4.6.1 adds support for Nougat, multi-window, and Direct Boot was written by the awesome team at Android Police.
