AT&T has announced that it will be offering HBO access to customers on its Unlimited Plus plan for no additional charge. As wireless competition increases, US carriers seek new ways to attract and maintain customers. By offering HBO with its Unlimited Plus plan, AT&T is looking to attract customers who crave high quality, on-demand entertainment. With exclusives like Game of Thrones and VEEP, HBO provides powerful offerings that aren't available elsewhere. AT&T Unlimited Plus customers who currently subscribe to HBO through an AT&T video service will no longer be charged for it. Unlimited Plus customers who subscribe to an AT&T video service, but not HBO, will now have HBO included at no additional charge. Unlimited Plus customers who don't subscribe to an AT&T video service can now access HBO through the DIRECTV NOW and HBO GO apps. Additionally, Unlimited Plus customers will receive a $25 monthly credit that can be used towards DIRECTV, DIRECTV NOW, or AT&T U-verse. With AT&T's Unlimited Plus plan, customers receive unlimited talk, text, and data, as well as 10GB of tethering data. With HBO included, customers can now stream award-winning shows on the go with unlimited data, or kick back at home and tune in with DIRECTV or U-verse.
