Back at MWC 2017, Motorola pulled the veil off its latest budget-friendly handsets, the Moto G5 and Moto G5 Plus. But while the phone have been made available for purchase on select markets, Canadians are yet to be able to buy them. But not for long. Motorola Canada announced the Moto G5 will arrive in the country on May 3. The mid-ranger will be available with Bell MTS, SaskTel, Videotron and Virgin Mobile for $250 CAD on a no-term contract. For this amount of money customers will get a phone that enjoys a sleek metal design and a surprisingly decent spec-list for its price range. The Moto G5 features a 5-inch display with 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution and a Snapdragon 430 processor under the hood. Alongside 2GB of RAM, Motorola also offers 16GB or 32GB of internal storage. For those left craving more, you should know there's a microSD card slot onboard which allows for memory expansion up to 128GB. The Moto G5 brings improved photographic skills, compared to its predecessor the Moto G4, as it takes advantage of a 13MP main camera with f/2.0 with phase detection autofocus and a 5MP selfie shooter with f/2.2. Last but not least, we should mention the handset runs Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box. [Motorola] The post Canadians Are Getting the Moto G5 on May 3 appeared first on Android in Canada Blog.
