Back in March, the rumor mill introduced us to the HTC U, a device that will see HTC return to the smartphone market with another flagship smartphone, hot on the heels of the U Ultra. Since then, we've seen the U revealed in a single image and learned that it will be officially unveiled on May 16. Rumors have also suggested that the handset will feature a 5.5-inch Quad HD LCD display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor, Android 7.1 Nougat, and a fingerprint reader. Now, thanks to sources speaking with VentureBeat, we may know its official name. These sources say that HTC's new flagship smartphone will be named HTC U 11. Up to this point we've seen the One M8, the One M9, the HTC 10, and the HTC U Ultra. So it looks like HTC wants to bring together the families into what is hopefully a flagship smartphone that stands out in the crowd. One way HTC aims to do that? With a feature called Edge Sense, which will let U 11 owners squeeze the phone or slide their finger up and down its sides to launch apps and more. Another way is with colors, as the report says the U 11 will be available in five different shades: black, white, red, blue, and silver. We know it will be unveiled on May 16, but we don't have a launch date just yet, or how much it will cost. Are you looking forward to learning more about the HTC U 11? Android Match
