Motorola has really dropped the ball with Android updates recently. Many of its phones are stuck on old versions of Android and with old security patches. Fortunately, the Moto G4 is now a bit closer to being up-to-date. The device is now getting its update to Android 7.0 Nougat, which includes a wealth of features like split-screen multitasking, new notifications, double tapping the recent apps button to switch to the last app, a better Doze mode, and a lot more. And don't fret; if you have the Amazon prime exclusive model, you're getting the update too. The security patch level is still stuck on December 2016, which is a disappointment, but this update is still going to improve the device. Head to settings to see if you can download it!
