The next Google Home could double as a router

Google Home is still young, but the next one could be significantly better. There are reports that Google might integrate a router, much like Google WiFi, to replace or extend your existing network. Much like the Google WiFi, the new Google Home might be able to act as a mesh network with existing Google WiFi or OnHub units, extending your wireless network. The same report states that Google considered adding Google Assistant along with a mic and speaker to the Google WiFi, but opted out to avoid confusion. The Google Home is only half a year old, so a replacement probably won't be coming soon. No need to get buyer's remorse yet. But the addition of a router capable of making a mesh network is a great addition to a device that's central to the house. It's the perfect addition.
