HTC U11 Life is a more affordable option with two 16MP cameras

The HTC U11 launched earlier this year, and today HTC debuted a larger version of the handset in the U11+, but there's still room for another variant. HTC has officially announced the U11 Life, which is another take on the original U11 design. Unlike the U11+, however, the U11 Life is meant to be a mid-range device that offers a lower price tag while using the same design language as the two flagships. As far as features go, the HTC U11 Life has a 5.2-inch 1080p HD display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 processor, and two variants: one with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of built-in storage, and one with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of built-in storage. Each has a microSD card slot to expand storage, a 2600mAh battery, NFC, and a USB Type-C port. The HTC U11 Life is running Android 7.1.1 Nougat out of the box. The handset boasts a 16-megapixel camera up front and another 16-megapixel camera around back. There is a fingerprint reader below the display and the same "liquid surface design" that HTC made famous with the original U11 earlier this year. The smartphone is also IP67-rated for water and dust resistance. HTC's Edge Sense is built in as well, allowing you to squeeze the phone to control software features. T-Mobile will be hosting the U11 Life in the United States. It will cost $12 upfront and $12 per month for 24 months and will become available on Friday, November 3.
