Amazon is acquiring Blink, a brand that knows what it's doing when it comes to connected home surveillance equipment, likely in an effort to grow in that market. Blink, a smart home surveillance company, has officially confirmed it has been bought up by Amazon. Blink says that its surveillance cameras will continue to work for the foreseeable future, so owners shouldn't expect their devices to just give out on them. Blink offers cameras for both indoor and outdoor use, which range in price from $99.99 to $129.99. As it stands right now, Amazon hasn't said what it plans on doing with the Blink teams it has acquired. It stands to reason that we'll see even more smart home devices, especially in the surveillance segment, coming from the company soon enough. Of course, Amazon already announced its own smart connected camera not too long ago with the Amazon Key system, but that doesn't mean there isn't room to grow. Acquiring companies is one way to do that. Android Match
