Amazon and Google have long been involved in a feud over the sharing of each other's services. For years, Amazon has refused to launch a Prime Video app for Android TV and has failed to add Chromecast support to the Prime Video app for Android. The shopping giant even went so far as to stop selling Chromecasts. The war escalated further when Google pulled YouTube from the Echo Show in response to Amazon's lack of cooperation. Amazon has now begun to pay penance for its inability to play nice. The company recently started selling Chromecasts again and in an unprecedented step, the company has launched a Prime Video app for Android TV. While the app doesn't appear to be compatible with any devices yet, that will likely change in the coming days as Amazon begins to make it available to specific devices. Whether or not Google will reciprocate the goodwill remains to be seen, but in any case, it's a good day for users when access to services increases. Android Match
