The day after Christmas is turning out to be a good day for some Android device owners, as Android 8.0 Oreo is not only rolling out to the LG V30 in South Korea, but also the Android One variant of the Moto X4. As confirmed by folks over on Reddit, the Android One variant of the Moto X4 is now being updated to Android 8.0. The handset launched earlier this year with Android 7.1 Nougat out of the box, so the update is certainly a welcome addition for owners. If you own the Android One Moto X4, updating to Android 8.0 will change your build number to OPW27.1, for those of you out there who keep track of that sort of thing. With the Android Oreo update, Moto X4 owners will get notification dots on app icons, picture-in-picture support, as well as the overall general improvements to the Android operating system. This is an over-the-air (OTA) update, so if you haven't already received the update it should arrive for your handset soon. Did you pick up an Android One Moto X4? Android Match
