Upcoming Android Nougat Version Numbers Get Leaked

It looks like Nougat will be just like Android Lollipop, which had version numbers 5.0, 5.1 and 5.1.1.

The next three quarterly maintenance releases of Android Nougat will be Android 7.1 / 7.1.1 / 7.1.2

According to Evan Blass, the next version of Android Nougat is going to be 7.1 which will then be followed by 7.1.1 and then 7.1.2. It's not clear what these versions will bring to the platform but expect them to contain various security and bug fixes as well as general performance and feature improvements.

It's also rumoured Allo and Google's new assistant will be featured in Android 7.1 and that's the version the upcoming Nexus phones will use.
