Moto X Pure Edition getting Nougat soak test soon

The Moto X Pure Edition and its international brother the Moto X Style are still stuck on Android 6.0 Marshmallow. Marshmallow was launched late 2015, Nougat has been out for over seven months and Android O developer previews have already been released. Motorola was quick with updates before, but the Moto X has fallen far behind. It's a shame, as it was a great device. But it has not been forgotten, as Motorola has sent messages to some users indicating that a Nougat soak test will be released soon. If the soak test is coming soon, then the full update should not be too far behind. The Moto X is still a great device and with stock Android it should keep chugging along with renewed vigor (as long as you keep it charged, damn that battery life).
