T-Mobile rolling out Scam Block and Scam ID to help customers

Getting a phone call from an unknown number prevent you from answering the phone because the person on the other end might be a scam caller.

T-Mobile wants to help its customers with this issue, and it's doing so by rolling out two new features: Scam Block and Scam ID. With Scam ID, the incoming phone number is compared to a database of known scam numbers. If the incoming phone number is matched with one of those numbers, the incoming phone call screen will show "Scam Likely."

Scam Block does exactly what the name suggests. If you'd prefer not to get these likely scammy calls at all, you can activate Scam Block, which means those calls tied to scam phone numbers won't ring your phone at all.

Beginning today, T-Mobile ONE customers will get these two features rolled out to them, while new T-Mobile ONE customers will have the features activated beginning April 5. For T-Mobile customers not under the ONE plan, they can dial #ONI# (#664#) from their phone to activate the features starting April 5.

Customers can also dial #ONB# (#662#) to enable Scam Block, or dial #OFB# (#632#) to turn it off. To check whether Scam Block is enabled or disabled, customers can dial #STS# (#787#).

What do you think of T-Mobile's latest additions?
