It's no secret that HTC has been struggling financially. 2016 was the worst year for HTC in more than a decade and it's doubtful that the company will ever be able to regain its position as one of the leading smartphone brands. That being said, the company has been doing a lot of internal work to reduce costs and has even managed to pull off a 25.4% YoY revenue increase for the month of March (NT$5.20 billion total) with unaudited revenue for Q1 of this year coming in at NT$14.53 billion. The jump in revenue is most likely attributed to the launch of the HTC U Ultra and HTC U Play during the beginning of the month. It's hard to say how long those two devices will have a positive effect on HTC's revenue, but the HTC U (Ocean) is expected to be unveiled later this month, with its retail debut rumored for early May.
